Participation Form - Study Title: Digital Bodies - Preference Order for Visual Attributes in Avatar Customization

Information about the Study

Purpose

This survey explores how people value bodily attributes (e.g. arms, legs, back) when creating game characters and how these choices are influenced by the character type and the user's gender.

Procedure

You will be presented with two short scenarios, each describing a different character. Afterwards, you will be asked to evaluate various body parts based on how important you consider them for the character's adaptability in each scenario.

The questionnaire takes approximately 5 minutes to complete.

Voluntariness and Anonymity

Participation is entirely voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time without providing a reason. The study is completely anonymous, and no personally identifiable information such as an IP address or other data will be collected. The only information requested is gender identity.

Risks and Compensation

There are no known risks associated with this study, and no financial compensation will be provided.

Data Handling

All data will be used solely for the purpose of analyzing patterns and differences in the prioritization of body parts in character adaptation. The results will be presented in an academic thesis.
