Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student is expected to be able to:

    • explain basic principles of geology
    • explain basic principles of mineralogy, igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic petrology and structural geology
    • know the Earth's natural resources (eg ore, energy, groundwater), and geological hazards (such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions)
