Registration for the Stockholm university Language Cafes for participants from partner universities

Using this form, students and staff members from Stockholm university partner universities can sign up to participate in Language Cafes hosted by Stockholm University.

Once you have registered, you are welcome to participate in as many or as few Language Cafe sessions as you like, in whichever languages you like. We will ask for your name when you enter the Language Cafe, but we do not take attendance or track the participation of any individual participant.

User conditions

The purpose of the Stockholm University Language Cafe is to practise the language of your choice together with other learners and first-language users / native language users of that language. The first-language users at each session, “coordinators”, are student volunteers. They share their knowledge as language users, but are not formal language teachers.

Participation in a Language Cafe is based on mutual respect between participants. The following behaviour is strictly not permitted:

- making offensive statements regarding ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability or religion

- making inappropriate dating suggestions

- sexual harassment

- any other offensive behaviour

Such behaviour towards fellow language cafe participants, coordinators or Språkstudion’s staff will result in immediate and indefinite suspension from the Language Cafes.

Please note that there is a limited number of places available at each Language Cafe, due to fire regulations and the number of coordinators. When capacity is reached, no more participants will be permitted.

Your personal data is collected for the purpose of giving you access to the Language Cafe. All data will be handled according to EU´s data protection regulation and stored according to current regulations and routines. You can at any time contact Språkstudion at info@sprakstudion.su.se to withdraw your participation in the Language Cafes.
